Persistent Pain Is Real — but It Is Not Always a Sign of Ongoing Damage

Pain is influenced by multiple factors, including physical health, past injury, stress, sleep, fear, beliefs, activity levels, nervous system sensitivity and life experiences. Understanding this bigger picture is often the first step towards meaningful change.
